Mediahuis Ireland is the leading newspaper and online publisher on the island of Ireland and is the largest wholesale distributor of newspapers and magazines on the island. The Company is a 100% subsidiary of Mediahuis N.V. a private European media group, headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium.

Sheena Peirse

Sheena Peirse,  Chief Executive Officer of Mediahuis Ireland was appointed in October 2025. Previously Chief Customer Officer at Mediahuis Ireland, Sheena led transformative change across the subscriptions and marketing business, helping the company exceed 100,000 digital subscribers. She first joined Mediahuis in 2019 as Digital Editorial Director, bringing extensive experience from senior roles in UK broadcast media, including ITV and Channel 4, where she played a pivotal role in shaping digital strategy and content innovation.

With a strong track record in transformation, audience strategy, and commercial innovation, Sheena is now leading Mediahuis Ireland into the next phase of its digital future. She works closely with Chief Operating Officer Ian Keogh, Chief Financial Officer Ross Murray, and the Executive Leadership Team. In addition, she is a member of the Mediahuis Group Team and a board member of TPS.

 

Martine Vandezande

With a passion for people, marketing, communication and HR, Martine Vandezande has acquired a lot of expertise in various management positions in media, publishing, industrial products and technology-driven environments, as well as in a service context. After obtaining her Master’s degree in Communication Science, Martine started her career as a global marketing communications professional at tech company Agfa, where she moved to her role as Vice President Human Resources of Agfa Graphics. Later at SD Worx she was Chief Marketing Officer for Belgium and internationally. During her career, Martine has attended several master classes at both the Antwerp Management School and Harvard Business School. Martine has been Mediahuis groups HR Director since 2016, where she combines her (international) experience and strong inspirational leadership with a focus on results, strategic insight and a passion for innovation.

Gert Ysebaert

As a media professional, Gert Ysebaert has spent his entire life working in the media industry, combining his passion with a professional career. After obtaining his master’s degree in Communication and completing it with an Executive MBA, Gert held various management positions, mainly within the Corelio publishing group.  He was publisher of De Standaard, Belgium’s largest quality newspaper, and Het Nieuwsblad, the second largest popular newspaper in Belgium. When Corelio and Concentra joined forces in 2014 to form Mediahuis, Gert Ysebaert was appointed CEO.  Over the past years he has led the Mediahuis organization on its path to further digital growth of its services and brands. Under his leadership Mediahuis has evolved into a leading international multimedia company.

Kristiaan De Beukelaer

As a finance professional, Kristiaan De Beukelaer has dedicated his career to the media industry, combining financial expertise with strategic leadership. After graduating in Commercial and Financial Sciences from Lessius Business School in Antwerp, Kristiaan began his career at KPMG Accountants Belgium, where he progressed from junior auditor to audit manager. In 1996, he joined Concentra, where he advanced from company controller to Group Controller, overseeing management accounting, reporting and corporate performance management. Following the creation of Mediahuis in 2013, Kristiaan was appointed Chief Financial Officer. In this role, he is responsible for group-wide Accounting, Treasury, Business Controlling, Mergers & Acquisitions and Legal & Risk Management. As a member of the Mediahuis group Executive Committee, Kristiaan contributes to Mediahuis’ development as a leading international media group.

Sheena Peirse

Ian Keogh

Ian Keogh, Chief Operations Officer, joined the group in 1991 working in several senior Circulation and Marketing roles within the publishing side of the business, and subsequently taking on the role of CEO of Reach Group, Mediahuis Ireland’s wholesale and distribution business. Mr Keogh joined the Mediahuis Ireland Executive Committee in July 2021 with specific responsibility for all logistical matters related to printing and distribution across the Irish group. Mr Keogh also takes Executive responsibility for the Group’s Circulation and Marketplaces businesses to drive forward strategy in these areas.

Ross Murray

Ross Murray is the Chief Financial Officer of Mediahuis Ireland and serves as a director for Mediahuis UK Ltd, Mediahuis UK Group Ltd, and Newspread Ltd. He was appointed to these senior roles in 2024, overseeing the financial management of Mediahuis’s Irish and UK entities. In addition to his responsibilities with Mediahuis Ireland, Ross is a board member at Switcher.ie and also assists with the management of Mediahuis Group’s portfolio of early-stage investments contributing his expertise in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.
